• It’s not really my story, it’s your story

  • Your love of, in & by the water

  • It’s the families who share their lives & moments

We capture feelings, memories, reasons for living and then together we make art with you.

My children have been photographed all their lives. We have books & albums and portraits. Like everyone else, sometimes trying to gather is challenging. I believe this is important. I know it is; it should be important. This is our legacy, a special way we connect and share with one another. Photo shoots are memories, reminders about how we feel. They help us know where we come from and who we are. That each one of us is special. Of course, we capture the grand-babies often. With the whole group we aim for every two years. Those sessions are with whoever can be there, there is no cancelling once it is scheduled. The date is picked and we photo shoot and half the fun sometimes are ‘what happens’ that was not ‘perfect’. We’ll try to accommodate for everyone yet sometimes we know if someone does not make this photo shoot, they will be there for next photo shoot. It becomes part of the story, our story.

For almost forty years, Susan has been creating gorgeous artwork along with family and children portraits in the studio, on location at homes, the beach, down streams, & beautiful places everywhere.

The portrait artwork began during while Susan was just a freshman in college (although as child she was always making something)! Her portrait photography business began home based studio while raising young children. Eventually moved into a second story office with a studio on in a charming turn of the century house on Main Street in Marlboro Village.

In 2010,  Susan opened her ‘dream studio’ within waking distance to the beach on Mount Street in Bay Head, New Jersey.  October 2012, Superstorm Sandy washed 5 feet of the Atlantic ocean through the studio.  The same time flooding her home.

One of the gifts of the storm was the goodness of so many people who helped (some complete strangers), another was the ability to grow as an artist; the underwater series emerged from this growth.

With her children ‘launched’, Susan is now “Grammy ” to three little darlings! There is another perspective as a grandparent in her works.

Yet according to Susan, “the real art" comes from the people who have opened their hearts and lives. This is the way something magical occurs.”
