Over ten years since Super Storm Sandy flooded my home and studio. So this is so hard to believe but my home, where I lived when the storm hit is finally done.
The most exciting thing that I could not have predicted, under the house, is my new studio. The house was lifted in 2014, and then a series of delays, one problem after another. Life went on and changed. I never really can back to living in my house, although my grown daughter does now.
This is the first time in my life that I am setting up a studio with lots of space and the ability to just focus on my work. I have set up several studios yet this is different. My children have become adults and they may need me just not the same way they did. Therefore, this studio meant throwing away what is no needed and finding whatworks best for me.
I am so happy, it is do wonderful to have the space and the capability to do what I am drawn to make with all the supplies I want avaiable.
Don’t laugh… I even bought the perfect garbage can. It makes me so happy to not need to cut corners!
